The Sustainability Youth Festival is an exciting platform for young changemakers to showcase innovative solutions, learn from industry experts, and explore sustainability through hands-on activities. Participants can connect with businesses, discover the green sector, and take the next step toward a sustainable future.

The Challenge

At the heart of the festival is the TSYF Challenge, where student teams pitch their unique sustainability projects or solutions to win awards and grants to implement their ideas within their communities and schools. This competition encourages creativity and actionable solutions, allowing young changemakers to develop and showcase initiatives with real-world impact.

Requirements:Under the TSYF Challenge, there are two divisions in which youths can submit their solutions. Each team of youths should consist of a maximum number of 8 youths, and there is no limit to the number of teams that a school can submit.a) Maximum number of 8 youths in a group
b) All youths should be below 35 years of age

Sustainability Youth Changemaker

  • A challenge for solutions focused on changing behaviours to drive positive public change for a more sustainable future. Projects should aim to increase awareness of sustainable practices in communities through media campaigns and community-led initiatives.

  • Eligibility: Junior (Primary & Secondary school levels)

  • Awards: Three winning teams receive $2,500 each in funding.

Sustainability Youth Innovator

  • A challenge dedicated to showcasing entrepreneurial skills such as management, design thinking, and strategic planning. Participants will develop innovative products or services that create real-world sustainability impacts.

Eligibility:

  • Junior (Primary & Secondary school levels): 1 winning team receives $10,000

  • Senior (Junior College, ITE, Polytechnics, Universities):

  • Champion: $20,000

  • Runner-Up: $10,000

16 June - 4 July 2025: Submission of Short Write-up and video pitches for TSYF Challenge


July 2025: TSYF Challenge Semi-Finals


1 August 2025: TSYF Finals & Main Event
